This group exhibition aims to highlight the experiences and thoughts of the artists through painting and mixed- media artworks. The works signify our perception and experiences of society and depict themes such as intersectionality, social injustice, religion, spirituality, brotherhood, nature, identity, crime/violence, and oppression.

Meet the Artists

Malcolm Lindsay, Shasha Porter, Mikheal Deans

“My works act as a social commentary; some would say the good, the bad and the ugly. Family and friends are the cast of characters that appear in my sometimes- narrative works” Malcolm Lindsay

“I want to represent individuals who do not fit the definition of the halo but who are a part of the concept of Christian divinity. My work seeks to question the issues of secularity and religion in the Jamaican society by appropriating the Halo.” Shasha Porter

“Without the ability to visualize an idea or concept, art would not exist today. My works are a constant search for the best ways to interpret the ideas that I have about myself and the world I live in.” Mikheal Deans
